These Graphics Will Enhance Your Brand

Hey! Did you know that as an artist (or a creative) you are considered a brand too? This is because you have a unique identity and style to maintain. A successful brand is built on a recognizable aesthetic and consistent message. You have to put a lot of effort into developing these qualities.

Similar to companies that have a brand image that customers associate with quality and reliability, artists and creatives rely on a strong brand identity to build a following and attract new fans to their work.

Well, graphics are just so important in branding because they help convey your brand's personality, message and values. They play a tangible role in shaping the final product. Here are some common types of graphics you may need as an artist or creative:

Album Covers

A compelling album cover (also known as cover art or artwork) can make a huge difference in attracting attention and creating interest in an artist's music. I can't tell you how many times I decided to try out a new song solely based on its cover art.

Cover art is not limited to albums only, of course. Cover art for mixtapes, EPs and singles are just as important. Sometimes you might want to have multiple cover art for one song.

Promotional Posters and Flyers

Posters and flyers should be carefully designed to draw attention as well as to display information. These are used to promote gigs, product releases, concerts, upcoming releases and other events. They should include information about the event, the artist, and the date and venue, along with eye-catching graphics.

Social Media Graphics

Social media platforms can be used to and engage with fans all the time. Some big names in the game have their social media content specially curated for marketing purposes. So why can't you? Ditch those blurry photos and invest in good photos and good graphics. Social media graphics include ads, images, profile pictures, headers, banners, stories, highlight covers, videos, announcements and animations that promote any thing.

Merchandise

Selling merch is a great way to generate more revenue and promote your brand at the same time. Merch can include t-shirts, hats, stickers, and other items that feature the your name, logo, or other graphics.

Website Graphics

Website graphics can include your images, album covers, banners, merchandise, videos and other elements that reflect your brand. Your website should be visually appealing and informative. Your latest updates should be in there, carefully arranged. Unfortunately, a website that isn't well-designed might not get visitors coming back. The design has to be professional and easy to navigate.

Videos and Visualizers

Videos are an important tool for promoting stuff but they can be very expensive to make. With a good camera and good editing skills, though, anyone can cut cost and still have a good video out. Alternatively, you can opt for visualizers (and lyric videos if you're an artist).

Where to Get Good Graphics?

You can design most graphics yourself. There are good apps and software out there that can help you produce good graphics for your brand and music. These are apps like Canva and Adope Xpress. You can get really good results if you know what you are doing with them.

Personally, I think you should only design your own graphics if you really know how. Bad graphics are bad for your brand, they are unprofessional.

You might want to trust graphic designers for the best results that follow current industry standards. Hit the Graphics tab to see a list of graphics designs I can do for you.

Conclusion

In summary, the most important thing to note is that all these graphics should somehow follow some sort of branding consistency.  They should reflect your style and personality, meet industry standards, be informative and visually appealing.
